"Eighty to 100-year-old shiraz sourced from a vineyard just behind the Gnadenfrei Church in Marananga, matured 19 months in oak. Smells like the Western Barossa to me! Deep, saturated blackberry, blueberry and Doris plum fruit characters cut with dark spice, ironstone, dark chocolate, panforte, licorice, fruitcake, cedar, vanilla bean and earth. Full bodied and velvety with a crème de cassis-like flow to the fruit, compact powdery tannins and a long draw on the finish. 2024-2038."

"Dense fruit makes the first impression. Aromas of Christmas cake, baked chocolate torte, earth and coffee grounds with squishy blueberries and vanilla. The palate is awash with rich dark plums and dark berries with cedar and chocolatey oak adding further depth. Time in the glass reveals a touch of caramel slice and some dried herbs rise up. Drying out ever so slowly, powdery tannins step up to the podium to guide you home. Another excellent release from Camino Wine Co."
